Default columns in Employee Talent Ratings search in My Team

Our client wants to display only these columns in My Team > Talent Ratings Employee search:

It is possible in the UI. However, they want these columns to be displayed in default, so the managers don't have to always click on the sort column function. There is an option to do this via VBS, however after arranging the columns - it doesn't seem to apply when previewing it:

How do we properly implement this? We just need to hide the Assignment Number and Assignment Status in default.
