Restrict performance document type access by role?

Good Morning,

I wanted to confirm, In Oracle HCM Redwood can we differentiate between performance document types by role access? For example, we want our nursing admin to only see the Nursing Peer Review performance document, but we do not want them to have access to any other performance documents (i.e., appraisals, performance counseling, etc.). Could we just restrict access to one performance document type or if we give access to performance docs will it grant access to all document types?

I read that it's possible to create a custom Document Type Security Profile and attach the profile to the nursing admin role and link to the performance template. Please advise?
