Descriptive Flexfields in Change Order Type not respecting alphabetical or numeric order at runtime?

Hello,

I’ve developed several Descriptive Flexfields (DFFs) and assigned them to a Change Order Type (Simple Change Order) in Oracle Fusion Product Management.

To control the order of presentation, I numbered the labels sequentially (e.g., 3.2, 3.3, 3.4) with the expectation that they would be displayed either:

  • In numeric order, or
  • In alphabetical order based on the label

In the Change Order Type setup menu, the fields appear correctly ordered.

However, when I actually create or edit a Change Order, the fields are no longer displayed in the same order. They appear mixed, not respecting either the numeric or alphabetical logic (see screenshot):
