Redwood Succession Plan – Conditional DFF Visibility Based on Plan Type Code Not Working
We are configuring a Descriptive Flexfield (HRM_PLANS) on the Redwood Create Succession Plan page.
Requirement:
The “Approver” DFF segment should be visible only when Plan Type Code = INCUMBENT.
Configuration Details
- Flexfield: HRM_PLANS
- Segment: Approver
- Value Set: Table-validated (Active Employees only)
- Flexfield deployed successfully
- No security restrictions
In Visual Builder Studio (Express Mode):
Default Rule
- Approver → Hidden
- Not Required
Conditional Rule
- Field Values → talentSuccessionPlans → Plan Type Code equals
INCUMBENT - Approver → Visible
Project published.
Observed Behavior
On the Redwood Succession Plan Create page:
- When Plan Type = Job → Approver remains hidden (expected)
- When switching to Plan Type = Incumbent → Approver does not dynamically appear
