Red line on Redwood Time Card when layout changes mid-week

We are using weekly time cards on redwood. Previously before redwood, if the layout changed mid week (e.g. Dec 14 in this screenshot), it only allowed time submission for the days before the change (up until Dec 13), then we'd have to submit another time card on the new layout (Dec 14 and after).

Now there is a red line on the time card, and we are not sure:

  1. How does it affect time rules? In this case, if we have weekly time rules.
  2. How does it affect time processing?
  3. Is it impacted by HCM Group refresh if it updates the employee's profiles and layouts?
