Shifts/Schedules/Patterns Inquiry and Suggestions
We are currently using Shifts, Work Schedules, and Work Patterns. However, we want to move toward a more dynamic scheduling approach where each employee may have different working hours on a daily or weekly basis.
In this context, we would like to understand:
- How can shifts be effectively managed or assigned in Oracle HCM to support highly variable, employee-specific schedules?
- What is the recommended approach for configuring dynamic or ad hoc schedules (e.g., using individual shift assignments vs. predefined patterns)?
- Should we continue using Work Patterns, or is there a better alternative for this level of flexibility?
