Custom Role for Receivable

Hi.

I need to create a custom role for Receivable. It should basically be able to do almost everything that the Accounts Receivable Manager role can, except I want to restrict the user from doing the following actions:

• Create transactions
• Purge transaction data (scheduled processes)
• Create customers
• Update customers
• Create approval limits
• Delete approval limits

My understanding is that since Accounts Receivable Manager is a job role, I cannot remove privileges directly from it, and instead need to customize the duty roles from which the unwanted privilege are inherited. Is this the correct and best approach?
