Integrating OTM with internal DMS for Document Transfer

Summary:

I’m working on an API integration to push/pull docs between OTM and our Internal DMS and wanted to check if anyone here has already "been there, done that."

I’m specifically curious about if there a way to manage this call without need for any middleware layers. Is there a way OTM can handle JSON structure in a specific way that the DMS system expects it to rather than OTM standard JSON structure
