How to auto-withdraw future absences when a new absence has to be in place

Summary:

We allow employees booking vacation into the future, but they can go on short term or long term disability before the time comes for the vacation. Is there a way to have Oracle automatically withdraw future vacation if the current absence to be added is either open-ended or the end date is after the booked vacation. This function can be used on any absences booked into the future. Any insights is welcomed. Thank you.
