Whenever Oracle releases a Quarterly Patch (e.g., 26B/26C/26D), how should we validate system behavior for Payroll processing after applying the patch?
Example scenario: Assume we applied the 26B patch in a lower pod on 1 May 2026, along with the CWB features/bug fixes included in that release. After the patch, if I run the Payroll flow steps Calculate Payroll → Prepayments → Archive to validate a bug fix that is documented in the CWB for a previous pay period (i.e., any pay period ending before 1 May 2026), should the system behave correctly for those historical pay periods automatically?
Or do we need to test only pay periods
