Free Tier tenancy suspended for Coin-Mining (Ref: a2f83f35) – Need help retrieving boot volume data

edited May 7, 2026 4:26AM in OCI - General 1 comment

Summary:

Need help retrieving boot volume data from suspended Free Tier tenancy (Coin-Mining suspension)

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

My Always Free tenancy was suspended on May 4, 2026 due to detected Coin-Mining Activity (Reference: a2f83f35).

I was not aware that any mining activity was happening on my instance. I did not install or run any mining software intentionally — it might have been compromised or a false positive.

Details:

I only need temporary data retrieval for the boot volume (snapshot, PAR link or export), as I have important files and configurations inside.

According to Oracle Cloud Services Agreement Section 9.3 and 9.5, customers should be able to access "Your Content" during the suspension period.
