Logic behind retention period of Oracle Field Service
Hello all,
I would like to clarify the activity retention behavior in Oracle Field Service (OFS).
Based on the documentation and our understanding, activities in OFS have a retention period of maximum 90 days from their creation date. After 90 days, an activity should be automatically deleted, regardless of its native state (pending, started, completed, notdone, cancelled etc).
However, we are observing inconsistent behaviors across our environments. Firstly, in our production (live) environment, we can still find activities that were created more than 90 days ago. However, all such activities found are segmentable activities. Also, in our test environments, we can find activities created more than 90 days ago, and this applies to both segmentable and non-segmentable activities.
