Maintenance Work Definition based on Item Structure

Client is in an Asset refurbishment Industry. As a part of their process , they maintain item or BOM structures. They would like to build maintenance work definitions based on item structures (Predictable maintenance activity for their Assets). In the work definitions classic UI, on the right hand side we do see vertical tab named Items. However, Item structures do not show up there. The item structure is defined and the name we gave was "Structure". Secondly, is there a optimal capability available in Redwood.

Finally, any changes to item structure needs to update the work definition based on the ESS Job . Similar to manufacturing work definitions. Is this capability available ?
