Approval Rule, Sum of Values for Same Payroll Time Type Instead of Line by Line Evaluation
Hello Team,
Is there a way in approval rules to sum the values for the same Payroll Time Type instead of evaluating line by line?
Currently, we are using the condition:
ApprovalTimeRecordGroup.measure != 0
However, this evaluates each line individually.
Example:
- One Overtime Payroll Time Type entry is generated automatically by the TCR formula
- Another entry is added manually by the user as an adjustment/comment
We would like the approval rule to evaluate the total sum of both entries for the same Payroll Time Type:
- If the total is 0 or negative → auto-approved
- If the total is positive → routed to the Line Manager for approval
