Ability to select Effective Start Date (Back dated) for Individual Compensation

Summary:

Our line managers need to be able to enter back dated individual compensation uplifts yet on the page it doesn't allow us to change the date for before todays date/ date you are actioning. We are not on Redwood yet. Has anyone else experienced or have a solution for this?
