How to Secure DFFs on Individual Compensation Plans (ICPs) for HR-Only Access?

Hi Experts,

We have a requirement to create Descriptive Flexfields (DFFs) on Individual Compensation Plans (ICPs) in Oracle Fusion HCM.

The requirement is:

  • The DFF fields should be visible and editable only by HR users.
  • Employees and managers should not have access to view or update these fields.
  • The data entered in the DFFs will be used for HR-specific tracking and processing purposes.

Could you please confirm:

  1. Whether DFFs can be created and enabled on ICP pages/forms?
  2. Is it possible to secure the DFFs using role-based access so that only HR users can view and update them?
  3. If yes, what would be the recommended approach — Page Composer/VBS personalization, EL expressions, sandbox customization, or security privileges?
