Pre-processing Lead Time in manufacturing

Hello Experts,


We have a requirement to incorporate pre-processing time for certain manufacturing items that are produced only on specific days of the week (e.g., every Wednesday).


Each Work Order requires some preparation time (e.g., 1–2 days). Therefore, if a Sales Order is created on Monday or Tuesday, the items cannot be manufactured on the immediate Wednesday due to these preparation activities. Instead, the production should be scheduled for the following Wednesday.
However, we have observed that Oracle does not appear to consider pre-processing lead time when scheduling manufacturing in this scenario.
Are there any built-in features or recommended workarounds that can help address this requirement?
