Is there any setup on the Benefits Module side to allow arrears to calculate?

Summary:

Other than the configuring the payroll element to allow for arrears, is there any setup needed on the Benefits side that is needed also?

We have the situation that the elements have been configured, but the arrears are not calculating when testing running through a quickpay.
Yet when entering payroll manually, they process.

I am only familiar with the element setup being required, but I'm at a loss for what the issue is.
