I would like to know how to use the Actual Ship Date parameter in Schedule Pick Wave

Summary:

We are planning to use the Schedule Pick Wave ESS job.

The job parameters allow us to specify an Actual Ship Date. However, even when we entered a past date or a future date for this parameter, all shipments were assigned the job execution date and time as the Actual Ship Date when the job was submitted.

Could you please explain whether there is any intended use case for the Actual Ship Date parameter? We would appreciate it if you could clarify how this parameter is expected to be used.
