OCI Always Free: Updated Ampere A1 Compute Allocation

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure has updated the Always Free allocation for OCI Ampere A1 Compute instances that use the 'VM.Standard.A1.Flex' shape.

What has changed

For Always Free tenancies, the Ampere A1 allocation is now:

Compute	2 OCPUs total
Memory	12 GB total
Monthly equivalent	1,500 OCPU hours and 9,000 GB ho

You can allocate these resources flexibly - for example, to one 2-OCPU instance or to two 1-OCPU instances - subject to the other Always Free resource limits in your tenancy.

Regional availability

Always Free Ampere A1 Compute is available in the tenancy home region. South Korea North (Chuncheon) is not available for provisioning Always Free A1 instances.
