OTL Meal Allowance Eligibility Based on Overtime Thresholds and Employee Declaration?

Summary:

I am looking for guidance and implementation best practices for a meal allowance requirement in Oracle Fusion Time and Labor (OTL). I would like to understand whether anyone has implemented or attempted something similar and what approach worked best.

 

Business Requirement

The customer provides meal allowances to employees based on overtime worked.

Working Pattern

• Operating Hours: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Standard Shift: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Unpaid Break: 30 minutes
• Overtime is only considered for hours worked:
  • Before 7:00 AM, and/or
  • After 7:00 PM

Meal Allowance Eligibility

• More than 1.5 hours OT → Eligible for 1 Meal Allowance
• More than 5 hours OT → Eligible for 2 Meal Allowances
