Looking for recommendation around Oracle Field Service from Field Maps Arcgis navigation with return values to update properties of FFS

we have plugin to open Fields maps GIS_ViewActivityInMap_PlugIn.

based on below doc under section 4 and 5 we have values to navigation back to FFS but does it also helps us update data in FFS ?

do we need to update FFS before using REST and then return back to FFS in the workflow ?
