Is negative inventory supported for manual backflush of lot-controlled components?

Could you please confirm whether Oracle Fusion Manufacturing supports manual backflush of a lot-controlled component when the selected lot has a negative on-hand balance?

The inventory organization is configured with Allow negative balances enabled. Oracle documents this parameter as allowing inventory transactions to drive an item's inventory balance negative:
