Death of employee person change is not triggering life event

Summary:

I am encountering an issue where a "Death of employee" person change is not triggering a life event. Additionally, there is no formula override in place.

Steps followed:

1. Go to My Client Groups > Person Spotlight > Search for name or person number
2. Click Show More > Person Details > Biographical Info
3. Click the pencil edit icon to enter Date of Death
4. Click Submit

Also, navigated to

1. My Client Groups > Person Management > Search for name or person number
2. Click Actions > Personal and Management > Person
3. Click the pencil edit icon to enter Date of Death
4. Click Save
5. Click Submit
