We have an Absence Plan with "Allow Negative Balance" enabled and a Negative Balance Limit of 8 hours. When an associate's balance is positive but less than the requested absence duration, the system splits the single absence request into two separate ledger transactions on the same date, one for the amount covered by the remaining positive balance, and one for the amount that pushes the balance negative (up to the configured limit).
