What is difference between Oracle Process Manufacturing and Discrete Manufacturing in Oracle Terms?

in Manufacturing 6 comments

Summary:

Hi, what is difference between process manufacturing and discrete manufacturing in terms of oracle?

In business terms, it is that process manufacturing finished goods cannot be separated once finished goods is manufactured (i.e. sugar processed cannot be brought back to cane crushed (its raw material)). Similarly, in discrete manufacturing, a shoe manufactured can be separated into its raw components (subassembly) into outsole, midsole, insole, and upper.

I went through Oracle Guide, however, still not sure how oracle differentiates Process and Discrete Manufacturing, apart from the functionalities available in Process and Discrete Manufacturing which are the difference. But still not sure how Oracle differentiates Process and Discrete Manufacturing?

Howdy, Stranger!
