Does anyone else have trouble with attachments within correspondence templates?

We have an issue where candidates cannot open the attachments that are sent with their offer letter. These documents are attached to each letter template that we have. When candidates try to open the documents, they receive an error saying the file has been corrupted. I have tried reattaching in the documents to the template, but we run into the same issue. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this? Thanks.
