Why is an email sent to ALL req owners VS just the interviewer??

When setting an interview in Taleo, why is it sending a confirmation email to all req owners? We have up to 15 owners on certain req's because they assist in all different facets of recruiting.  Some days there are many interviews set for that particular req and it is filling up the non-involved parties emails. It is so confusing for all these different people to get the interview confirmation emails when it is intended for only one person.
