New Requisition Fields

Hi

I’m trying to add a new field (pick list) to the requisitions screen. I have done this via adding a new requisition field in the “custom fields” section then adding it to all the requisition page layouts. Once I hit save it appears to be there on the page layout screen as it should, however when I go back out and click on requisitions > new requisition, it doesn’t appear on the screen. Does anybody know where I’m going wrong with this?
