Collecting I-9 Supporting Documentation?

Since the Onboard program surprisingly doesn't seem to support an upload of additional documentation by the new employees, how are other organizations dealing with collecting the I-9 backup documentation? This seems somewhat ridiculous, that they can fill out the form, but have no instructions or ability to provide copies of their supporting information. Help!
