Date range parameter for OFCCP reporting

I have learned from Oracle Support that hiring more than one candidate per requisition has an adverse impact on OFCCP reporting in TBE when the ‘filled date” is used as the parameter.  Our Compliance team wants data based on hires during the plan year.  What field do other companies use as the date range parameter to run OFCCP reports (with the assumption it is a practice to hire more than one candidate per req)?  Thanks!
