updating candidate cover letter specific to each requisition

Candidates that have previously applied and updloaded a cover letter, and are applying once again want to also update their cover letter to be specific to the new position. When they update the document it also udpates it for their entire profile menaing also chaning the previous requisitions they applied to.

Is there away around this?
