Increasing Reporting Users?

On average, how many reporting users do you currently have, and do you plan to increase the amount of users that have reporting access? If you are planning to expand your reporting user base in the future, how many people are you looking to add?

We are hoping to increase the amount of employees that have reporting access but have been warned that having too many users reporting at once could cause a system crash. I'm curious to know how many users other companies currently have and whether or not anyone else is looking to expand report users to understand how global our issue is.
