Questions about Technical Configuration Guide Information for 13A, 13B

We received the end of life notification for 12B and have had our staging zone upgraded to 13B to start testing. As part of the project, I forwarded the Technical Configuration Guides for 12C, 13A and 13B to our IT Group to review. They noticed that it says on page 23 of the 13A and 13B Guild that Excel 2003 and 2007 are supported. It asked if Excel 2010 is supported. I opened an SR and was told no. When I questioned this further, I was told that they are not saying Excel 2010 won't work just that some features
