Remove Performance Review Contributors Option

I was wondering if it's possible to remove the option of adding performance review contributors from my Perform system?  Since the hiring managers only use Perform once a year, they forget what selecting someone as a Performance Review Contributor does, and they end up selecting the person who should be the approver as the contributor. I'd like to completely remove the Performance Review Contributor option if that's possible to eliminate this confusion.  If anyone has any ideas, I'd like to hear from you.
