How to assign an activity to a different hiring manager per employee department type

Hi all,
I was just recently thrown into the fire, so to speak, with Taleo and our onboarding process so bear with me if this is an obvious answer. I'm trying to configure our onboarding process and have run into my first road block. There are three separate onboarding processes. The first one I'm trying to configure is for our internal employees. The process is the same for every employee except for something like this: A laptop procurement form needs to be sent to the hiring manager. Is there a way to have the form sent to the hiring manager depending on
