Searching keywords within employee record

I had a request from a director that they would like to be able to include notes about an employee's special skills within the employee record then be able to use keywords to search for those skills among several employees within Taleo. Is this possible? I've seen the keywords option be available when searching through resumes and candidates. Is it also on the employee side?
