Paragraph Search Functionality

I navigated to Configuration/ Message Templates/ Paragraph to search for a paragraph which I know exists in our setup.  I was not able to find the paragraph I was looking for using this navigation.  I tried entering a variety of key words as well as searching through the entire list.  I then navigated to the actual message that the paragraph was assigned to. I was able to select the paragraph in the message and then edit the paragraph from the message.  Does anyone know why the paragraph would show up in an actual message but not in the paragraph listing?
