Is it possible to build UDF fields with dependent pick lists?

Is it possible to build UDF fields with dependent pick lists?   So the second pick list (User-Defined Selection) is determined by the entry of the first pick list (User-Defined Selection).  For example only cities in a state are displayed after a state is selected in the first UDF.
