Issue with Display Password

Hi,
As you may be aware there are issues with the Password Reset Emails. I have been told to use the Display Password feature. However this has never worked for me. When I click on Display Password I see the URL change but nothing shows? Is there a setting I am missing? Has anybody got this to work?
I have tried 3 different web browsers in case it was that.
Any help you could offer would be great as we have a deadline on self-evaluations today.
