Editing the Divisions in Taleo

Greetings,

I am currently working on passing information in Taleo to our HRIS system and want to make sure that all the departments we use are up  to date.  There are some that are in Taleo that we are not currently using.  is it your recommendation that I deactivate them?  If I do and next year the company decides to use them again can I just reactivate them?  Might you have a recommendation on this, as I am terrified to edit this and cause a big issue that I wont know how to fix?  I am attached a screen shot of
