From address on email notificiations

Is it possible to have a variety of from addresses using the notification action

I see that in the notification action there is a "from" field.  What good is that?  Everything always seems to come from [email protected]  Is there a way to change that so it uses what I put in the from address?  This is OIC ICS v. 18.3.5
