How do I Merge 2 Profiles?

I need to merge to employee profiles. How do I do that?

We have a candidate that originally applied and was hired under 1 email address (his father's).  Then he re-applied and was hired under his own email address.  Now he has 2 employee records.  How do I merge the 2 employee records?  I need to merge them because now we are hiring the father.  We are unable to onboard the father because the email address already exists with the son's employment record.  Confusing, I know.  Please help.
