Advanced Search/Random Results - Product Manager Feedback?

Hi,

We currently have the "random results" checkbox selected for the Advanced Search feature.  An Oracle Consultant advised us that this feature essentially makes search results meaningless which confuses us into wondering why the feature is available.

Is there Product Manager that can advise on the use of 'random results' and if it can be used in meaningful way and still achieve productive Candidate search results based on the search criteria entered.
