Submission Source Type is 'Not Specified'?

We have several candidates coming thorugh with a submission source type as 'not specified'

Content

We recently ran a source report and found several hundred candidates with blank 'Submission Source Type' and 'Submission Source'. In Taleo those fields are displaying as 'Not Specified' for those candidates. Source is a required field when candidates apply, so the issue is not that they are not selecting a source.  We think it might be an issue with a job board that candidates may be coming through, but can't easily determine if that unless we ask the candidates with no source to see if there is a common culprit. The only other thing we can think of is that there is a bug in the system, we are currently on 15A.8. We submitted
