Calculating a date into Reports and an Employee Field

We would like to have an employee field that makes a suggestion regarding the date Review Managers should initiate a review.. As we run reviews on your hire / start date anniversary there is a starting point, and I presume there is a way to calculate this as an expression - but I can't sort it out this early in the morning.. Hoping one of you can help..

Looking for a way to report/calculate : start date - 45 days
