Candidate Source not populating


I have a couple of issues surrounding Candidate Source with different clients.  

In one instance I added a new Career Center for Internal and in doing so, edited the settings to indicate source always as Internal Employee.  

When testing, the Source is not displaying on candidate record/list view.  I created an S/R, but the explanation isn't very clear.  

In other instance, client has a number of candidates they have imported that they indicate Candidate Source as Employee Referral, but it is not populating.  No S/R on this one yet.  Wanted to check here first.
