Does anyone have any experience, guides on how to embed a custom report into a Compensation Plan

We are wanting to explore the possibility of attaching a custom OTBI report to a compensation plan so that a manager can report on the total bonus amount and/or salary increase awarded in a particular plan.

At present, to the best of my knowledge the only way a  manager can export plan data is if they have the excel ADFS add-in installed, this is not practical as most large organisations will not grant normal end users the ability to install add-in's from the internet.
