Notes/Comments about a Candidate

Need notes/comments about a Candidate to display in Active Candidates pipeline list

HR dept has asked me if there is a way to display, in the Active Candidates Pipeline list, a column with either an icon they can click to open [something] that displays notes they've made about the candidate or a column with the actual notes (probably from the Comments field but a custom field would work as well).  Apparently, the Comments field is not one that can be added to that list view. 

For further clarification, I'm not referring to Interview Feedback - just general notes that the recruiter might have about candidates that are actively in the pipeline.  Would appreciate any idea/recommendations.
