Don’t miss this new Oracle Sales Cloud resource on My Oracle Support: Performance Best Practices for Extending Oracle Sales and Oracle Engagement Cloud (Doc ID 2170121.1). It presents a number of recommendations for maximizing the performance of your Sales Cloud customizations. Sales Cloud customers and partners should read this document to build in best practices from the start and use it as a reference when working to diagnose and resolve specific performance issues.  

Complied by experts, the document discusses general recommendations, such as determining performance baselines at the onset, but most information deals with specifics. Do you know what field types to use and which to avoid on certain pages? That adding/removing fields when developing layouts can impact performance? And everyone can learn something by reviewing the recommendations around validations, querying, Groovy, and data security predicates, to name a few areas.
